Covid 19 the new normal has surely made our lives much more difficult but adaptation has been key to human survival and we seem to be adapting very well. We are now getting accustomed to hearing players’ voices when playing and coaches barking instructions to their players from the touchline. We don’t experience the same emotions that are usually there from hearing fans singing from the stands and urging the team on. We are yet to get accustomed to celebrations with no contact but that has not stopped the goals. In today’s (23/5/2020) round of Bundesliga fixtures there was a goal in all of the games played today. Kai Havertz continued to impress after he scored a brace today to give his team a 3-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach taking him to 17goals and assists in his last 14 Bundesliga games. Dortmund attacking full backs each scored a goal to give Dortmund a 2-0 win to increase the pressure on leaders Bayern Munich ahead of the Del Klassiker on Tuesday.
Archraf Hakimi on loan from Real Madrid now has 13 goal involvements (10 assists 3 goals) in the Bundesliga from defence. Young English sensation Jadon Sancho also achieved a milestone today by becoming the first Bundesliga player to be directly involved in 30 goals this season (16 assists 14 goals) when he assisted Archraf Hakimi for the second goal of the game. Thomas Muller scored and assisted in Bayern’s 5-2 win over Frankfurt, with the assist taking him to 17 league assists this season the most for any player in the Bundesliga and all of Europe’s top five leagues. The Del Klassiker will be held at the Signal Iduna Park with the league leaders (Bayern Munich) only four points ahead of the home team. (Borussia Dortmund)
